I will soon be working on a project that involves creating and
maintaining a website using portal software. Anyone have any
suggestions?

I've seen a demo of Knowledge Dispatch and it seems like a good
product, but I'd like to look at a few others too.

Thanks in advance.

Of course, "good" depends on exactly what your specifications for it are...
but one of the lowest cost ($15) I've seen is "ASP Portal" which is written
in ASP and currently uses Access for its database. The author is porting it
to MySQL as we speak.
