Hi!

Do you have any comment on web hosting services from Quality Host Online
[http://www.qualityhostonline.com/] (seems to be operated from Brooklyn,
NY, although the data centers are somewhere else)?

How are their reliability and support?

I cannot find anything bad about them so far, except that they refuse to
give the company address.

Thank you!

Do they outright refuse to give the address? Or is it just not posted on
their website? You might try emailing their sales department and asking a
few questions...including "where are you located".

unknown as opera obviously wasn't one of the browsers they tested their
site with and judging by what opera shows its a very dodgy operation.

If they won't give you a straight answer to that then I would assume that
the answer is "in the hosts bedroom, under the bed, next to a stack of
Reader's Wives magazine and a pile of lint." and that the server
accidentally gets turned off on occasion when the host's mother knocks it
with the hoover.

I emailed them, asked where are they located, they replied about the
location of the data center (which can be found in their website). Then I
emailed once more, asking about the company address, the reply just say
"Brooklyn, New York". Later on I emailed again from other email address
about the company address, and the answer is still "Brooklyn, New York".

That said, I don't think that refusal to give company address will
necessary mean something bad. It may be true that the company is located
at home address. And some disgruntled people may have throw rocks into the
house before, frightened the family. Good reason to hide your address. I
have nothing against home industry as long as the service is good. So that
is what I would like to know.

Keep in mind that whereever the company is, the data center location is
clear and definitely far from under the bed.

I'm always suspicious of very low-priced hosting services; especially
when they don't have an active, online, visible user forum. User
comments are the best way to make the quality of the service visible.
I'm really happy with my hosting company - check out their "community"
support forums.
